Waitaki Community Vehicle Trust

Waitaki Valley Community Vehicle Trust

The Waitaki Valley Vehicle Trust aims to provide an affordable, efficient and sustainable transport service that meets the needs of the community that is the Waitaki Valley.

The trust particularly provides subsidised transport for residents of Omarama, Otematata, Haka Valley, Kurow and Duntroon with mobility issues – be it age, disability or economic disadvantage.

The trust owns two vehicles, one housed in Otematata and the other in Kurow. At the moment we are lucky enough to have over twenty volunteer drivers.

Common trips

We have travelled as far south as Invercargill and as far north as Christchurch. We are happy to consider your request to anywhere in the South Island, perhaps working in with other Community Vehicle Trusts.

Further info and bookings

Phone Carron on 03 436 0950 or 027 282 0615 or call in to the Kurow Information Centre.

We are grateful to Environment Canterbury, Waitaki District Council, Omarama Residents Association, Otematata Residents Association, Waitaki Valley Community Society, Community Grants Organisation and Ahuriri Community Board for their support in funding the service.
