Hanmer Springs Community Vehicle Transport

Our service was set up in March 2023 to primarily support the community in offering reliable, free transportation to health and wellbeing appointments both locally within Hanmer Springs as well as the wider area of North Canterbury and Christchurch.

While all residents are encouraged to use this service, our bookings are primarily for the aged 65+, allowing them to remain in the rural environment they love.

All our drivers are volunteers and due to our small community valuable connections are made between driver and passenger keeping the community connected.

Donations are accepted online to the trust towards the cost of maintaining and improving our service.
